I have the NKJ Charles Stanley Life Principle bible that I carry to church and study in. There is no room to write in this bible so what I do is add tip ins in my bible. A few women on UA-cam have videos that I learned this from. I also underline in my bible with colored pens and use a ruler to keep lines straight. I discovered your videos this morning and have learned a lot binge watching. When I go to thrift stores I look through used bibles and have bought 3 from there. Thank you so much for your videos

I’ve been a “baby Christian” for 37 years and just in the last two years on fire for god and started this year finally reading the Bible straight through for the first time. It’s a one year plan and I am absolutely loving it. I grew up learning the stories and I had no idea how that they connected, and I’m turning into a complete Bible nerd! Seminarian here who primarily study ESV, NASB, and NLT. I have NIV (of course) and enjoy an occasional read of NJB. I need to get a KJV or NKJV (which one?) and a CSB. Is there any resources for obtaining a complimentary print KJV (NKJV) or CSB? Money is scarce with so many Bibles and no job at the moment. Prayers for job appreciated. 🙏

I disagree with you on at least one aspect, if Bibles are missing verses or missing words, alter a word such as " by " to " in " which alters or changes the context of the verse then that's a huge red flag. When we compare all the Bibles from the late 1800s until now against the KJV from the Textus Receptus there are huge differences, and most of these differences came by way of a guy in the 200 A.D. named Origen from the Alexandrian Texts which btw have been proven to be the oldest texts but are also inspired by Gnosticism from that particular society in Egypt. In the 1800s the two men largely responsible for for all the newer translations we have today were Hort, and Westcott both men were believers in Darwin's " Origin of Species " and both of them didn't believe in the complete divinity of Jesus. With that being said, as a Christian which bible would you trust? One that stood the test of time from the original Textus Receptus i.e. the KJV or bible translations that came from older texts from a society of Gnosticism, and two men who believed in Evolution, and Jesus wasn't fully divine? I like to think that you're pretty open-minded when it comes to learning things so I'm gonna drop the link for a couple study videos on the Bible's history. Verses that have been altered or are missing, and this is just 9 different Bibles. 1.) NAS 909 verses 2.) RV 788 verses 3.) NWT 767 verses 4.) NIV 695 verses 5.) GNB 614 verses 6.) AVB 484 verses 7.) OJW 120 verses 8.) NKJV 1200 verses 9.) Douay 421 verses From these versions words or verses are completely missing.

i like to read the bible in Alphabetical order, one chapter a day, every day. by reading it in Alphabetical order, the only thing i have to keep track of is the book and chapter that i'm on and that's a lot easier for me.

The King James Bible is Perfect! The "newer versions" are caught changing verses and omitting verses to deceive. They remove name of wicked one in Isaiah 14. They change Saved to "being saved" when talking about the Cross and the Power of God. If the Power of God can't save you then nothing can save you then so they are mocking Cross. SAVED is correct.

All modern Bible mistranslate secular Koine Greek words into English religious-sounding words. There is no Bible version that doesn't do this as far as I am aware. Gospel - correctly translated as "good news" from the Greek. Apostle - correctly translated as “sent one”, such as Paul and Peter the “sent ones”. Deacon - correctly translated as "servant". Bishop - correctly translated as "overseer” or “elder". Pastor - correctly translated as "shepherd". Word (in John 1:1) - correctly translated as “logos”. Logos means ultimate truth and wisdom; universal and beyond view or God's view, as opposed to human understanding. Logos did not mean “word” to the Greeks, as modern bibles mistranslate the entire idea and meaning. Epistle - correctly translated as "letter". Doctrine - correctly translated as "teaching". Homosexual - correctly translated as “homosexual sex”, referring to the act, not the person. God is not against people. Rather, God is against what people often do, including fornication, adultery and homosexual sex; all three listed together in I Corinthians 6:9. “For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the people, but that the people through him might be saved.” Disciple - correctly translated as "follower" or "student". Preach - correctly translated as "proclaim" - anyone can proclaim the good news of Jesus; no religious cemetery degree either needed, required or desired. However, one should be very careful regarding anything in the Bible, that they understand and teach others correctly. Church - correctly translated as the “assembly”; the people who believe in Jesus and have his spirit within them. An assembly of believers is not a building or a religious or other organization--it refers to the actual people who believe in Jesus. “Upon this rock I will build my assembly. . .” Saint - a saint is someone who has been made holy by being washed by the blood of Jesus. No pope or other human being can make anyone a saint. Only Jesus can make someone a saint. And we cannot make ourselves a saint by doing good works or refraining from certain things. Only through forgiveness from Jesus can someone become a saint.

I have found the Thomas Nelson NKJV Study Bible to be outstanding. It is the only one of m study bibles, the others being the ESV Study Bible and The Reformation Study Bible, that gives the alternate explanation to just what happened to Jephthahs's daughter that doesn't involve the highly unlikely scenario of him burning her alive.

l just purchased a Macarthur bible, 2ed and l was very disappointed with it, to the point l am going to sell it, its that poor. Just the quality of the notes is very sub par.

This is the Bible that comes with me virtually everywhere I go. Its sitting right here next to me right now, and I love it. Personally, I do not use the app often, but when I do have a question about something, it is great to have. Good review.

It is slowly becoming known that Majority Greek text of the New Testament is the best. I like the WEB Bible for it uses the Majority Text and is a good, literal translation. Easy to read, yet accurate.

I found you about a month ago, and I've been really liking your channel (you're the first MAN I've seen do quiet time routines and such). This video was good too except that I was REALLY disappointed when you mentioned the McArthur Study Bible. I HATE when Christians call out TV Pastors as false prophets (and I've heard MANY do that without even stating any proof). John McArthur is the ONLY person that I can safely do that with. He told the whole UA-cam world that a Christian can take the mark of the beast and still go to heaven. And the last I heard, he STILL believes this..... he also has a UA-cam video out saying that Jesus' blood doesn't save us. I LOVED watching Kat Kerr and listening to her stories about what's in heaven, but a couple of years ago, I stopped watching her when I came to realize therr's a possibility she might be a false prophet. It was disappointing considering how much I loved listening to her, but I had to put God, even above her (believe me, if I were to put a person above God, I'd still be listening to her). I still like these videos that I've been seeing, but to hear you mention the McArthur Study Bible was just disappointing.

I believe God created the universe and it is logical that he made it cause love always comes from love and a creator makes more sense then 2 rocks smashing together and they created everything like grass, gravity and etc. I also believe the Bible is reliable and it was written by first hand witness of Christ.

However, the new versions attack ALL of the fundamental doctrines concerning the Lord Jesus Christ at one time or another. By perverting the many important verses of scripture which deal with the fundamental doctrines of Christ, the new "bibles" have a CONTINUOUS ATTACK launched against our beloved Savior, and this is NOT an overstatement! His Virgin Birth is under attack in Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:34, and Luke 2:33. His Blood Atonement is under attack in Colossians 1:14, Acts 20:28, Ephesians 1:7, and Revelation 1:5. Every night, I have a fancy cambridge kjv wide margin that my grandpa gave me, a macarthur study, a reformed study from sproul, and the NET full notes.. I read a chapter, compare commentary between macarthur and sproul, and when needed, look at specific things in the translator notes from the NET.. I then sum up the information I took from those three studies, and make my own commentary in the KJV from what i learned.. It's slow moving, but every single day, I read passages I've heard over and over since I was a kid, and come to understandings that, honestly, blow my mind.. sometimes I feel like I'm cheating, the way that the passages just unlock for me.. it also helps to pray for discernment through the Holy Spirit, of course. I honestly look forward to this study routine each day.

Watched this a few years ago and just rediscovered it. 😊 I'm not a computer person. I used it much more with Microsoft XP and 7, which I thought were very user friendly, especially for someone like me, who is not computer savvy. Anyway, since I last watched you I've developed a system that works for me. Like you, I've stolen from others, particularly Prs Matthew Everhard and Chad Brooks. I've landed on affordable journaling Bibles for taking notes. I think they offer more space than a wide-margin. Plus, they are lined, which keeps my notes neater. So, I have a color system, based on Brooks' system, that covers 20 topics. I make small boxes in the margin, then color in them in, followed by my note. Since the boxes are small I can use inexpensive crayons. I use black Pigma Microns .005 for notes in my Bible. I also do some other things, like underlining OT quotes in the NT. May have stolen it from you! Not sure. I highlight only in yellow - anything that I find significant. A cheap Sharpie works just fine with minimal bleed-through. I also use a Miscellany (see Pr Matt) to keep running notes on things that capture my interest when I'm reading Scripture, e.g., God's Relationship with his Created Order, Faith/Trust, Baptismal Regeneration, Leadership, Genesis 1-11, Universal Restoration, etc. I can write as much as I want on any topic, and can keep returning to add more when I want. I'm also starting a Biblical Studies book, more of a commentary on specific biblical books. It will be designed similar to the Miscellany, so I can keep a running commentary. I'm also thinking seriously about getting Logos. I'll have to cross that bridge when I get to it. 😊 So, thought I'd share this. Maybe some of your viewers will find it helpful. Blessings!
